Dumper Training Overview (Mini - Below 1 Ton)

Fig Skills provide training and testing in the safe and efficient operation of Forward Tipping Dumper training (Mini – Below 1 Ton).

It is envisaged that by the end of this Dumper (Mini) course of training, the trainee operator will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as an operator
  • Working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used
  • The ability to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions
  • The ability to locate and identify key controls and explain their functions
  • How to conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer requirements
  • How to identify and maintain PPE appropriate for Forward Tipping Mini Dumper use
  • How to conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area
  • How to prepare the Forward Tipping Mini Dumper for use and operate safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge on how attachments are set correctly ready for operation
  • The ability to factor in Environmental considerations
  • Conduct safe storage and transport of the Forward Tipping Mini Dumper
  • The ability to Conduct all end of shift and shut down procedures

  • NPORS Plastic identity card with photo, this card is issued by NPORS
  • Certification for this course is valid for 3 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date
